Christain Perry-Watt
Founder of The Green Door & Primary Instructor
Christain Perry-Watt is the founder of The Green Door and Kentucky Botanical Co. After nearly two decades in corporate life, she began a sober journey in 2020 and found what was missing: a place that offered community, ritual, and a real night out - drawn from plants rather than alcohol. So she built one.

The Green Door opened in Covington in 2025 as Greater Cincinnati's first botanical dry bar. Last Call on Alcohol is the course she wishes she had existed when she was starting out.

The playbook didn't just give me recipes; it gave me the operational confidence to open a kava lounge that was profitable from the second week. A masterpiece of bar logic.

Inquiries & Particulars
Do I require a traditional liquor license for an NA establishment?
The short answer is no. However, navigating local health permits and specific non-alcoholic beverage compliance varies by municipality. We provide the exact framework for obtaining the necessary approvals without the alcohol tax burden.
Is serving kava legal in all fifty states?
Kava is federally legal and classified as a dietary supplement. While legal across the country, local health departments have unique perspectives on service methods. Our modules cover the precise code-compliant language utilized by The Green Door.
What is the realistic capital requirement for a build-out?
Opening an NA bar typically requires 30% less upfront capital than a standard bar, primarily due to lower insurance premiums and licensing fees. We share our actual P&L sheets and sourcing guides to help you budget with precision.
How much time must I commit to the program?
The course is self-paced. Most of our students move through the curriculum and build their business plans over six to eight weeks. Your access is indefinite; the playbook is yours to reference through your opening night and beyond.
What is your policy regarding refunds?
We offer a 7-day window for a full refund. We prioritize your certainty; if the path feels wrong, we won't hold you back.
What distinguishes this from a standard hospitality course?
Most hospitality training ignores the botanical nuance of kava and the unique marketing challenges of sobriety. This program is a direct upload from The Green Door—it is a live proof-of-concept turned into a training ground.
